Seat Leon: Frankenstein, but in a good way!
The Seat Leon is a car that could quite easily be called a Frankenstein. That is not to say it is an ugly car, or requires significant investment to build. On the contrary, a Seat Leon finance deal will secure you a striking machine for a surprisingly affordable price.
The reason some give it this monsters name is that since Seat were acquired by VW/Audi, the Leon has been the beneficiary of fantastic parts from a variety of cars.
If you are considering putting pen to paper on a Seat Leon lease, you will be getting a car that takes the chassis, engine and suspension of a range of existing cars from Skoda, Audi and VW.
You couldn’t say that the car is unoriginal though, for example, whilst you can get a VW Golf with the same front wheel drive chassis, you cannot get a Golf with the 2 litre turbo engine as powerful as in Seat’s Leon Cupra models. While it shares the engine of the Audi A3, getting a 4 wheel drive Leon isn’t an option!
When you take a Seat Leon car lease, you will get a sporty hatchback (more so than its equivalent siblings), with engines tuned for power and acceleration (particularly the turbo diesel and petrol turbo units). You will also find bespoke, sporty interiors, that are comfortable, but less well-equipped or aesthetically pleasing than those offered in the A3 or Golf.
Generally speaking your Seat Leon leasing agreement will deliver a car that shares all the benefits as its brethren from the VW/Audi stable, although with different design and packaging, interior style and sporty behaviour. And if the design takes your fancy, a Seat Leon leasing package could be the pick of the bunch.
Seat Leon: German sophistication, Spanish flair
The Seat Leon has been around for well over a decade now, and has been through various iterations, firstly as a purely Spanish creation, and then, more recently, the Leon got the German treatment, with Volkswagen buying the Spanish car manufacturer and introducing real quality build processes. This is great for us car shoppers, as a Seat Leon finance package is now a very attractive prospect.
A Seat Leon lease deal is now perhaps the most affordable way to get you behind the wheel of a car that shares its fundamental character with the legendary VW Golf. The Seat Leon features a larger body shell that offers you more boot space, more head room and a certain Spanish design flair, all for a more affordable price than the VW.
The Cupra and FR models add some real Spanish spice to the mix, as you can choose from fairly quick to substantially quick, if speed is what you are looking for. Technically advanced Turbocharged petrol and diesel engines also mean that you can be fast and economical, with the powerful 1.9 TDi engine capable of gutsy overtaking manoeuvres and returning 40+ mpg (although not at the same time).
There is also the availability of the DSG twin clutch gearbox, which provides either automatic driving or the ability to change gear manually, seamlessly changing up and down gears at the flick of a button.
Whilst the Seat Leon may not be quite as popular as the equivalent Golf and Audi models, there is really no reason to fear the Seat. With only front wheel drive (instead of the optional four wheel drive you get with its German brothers) your new Seat Leon leasing plan will get you a lighter and more efficient car than its rivals, if that comes at the slight expense of stability and all-weather driving.
Shop around and compare prices on Seat Leon lease deals, to find the most affordable financial option to suit you. With a Seat Leon leasing plan, you could have your new car delivered directly to your door.
